Cordial Resort Holiday Reviews

This was our 4th visit to the Cordial Mogan Playa. We were there for two weeks and enjoyed our stay.

Just a few points to mention. First the "sand " round the swimming pool area is very hard on the feet and sticks to everything. The "sand" is rather like hard gravel.

The second concerns the del Guayres restaurant in the hotel. We visited this on three occasions during our stay. The food was excellent. On our second visit on Wednesday 10th February we enquired about a reservation for Valentine's day Sunday 14th February and were surprised to be told by the manager that the restaurant would be closed then. We therefore reserved for Saturday 13th February. We were even more surprised to discover a few days later that the restaurant was in fact going to be open on 14th February. We maintained our reservation for the 13th February. The food was excellent on that occasion but the service slow. We were sitting at our table for 30 minutes before orders for food were taken.

Thirdly the resort remains very attractive but it was noticeable that there were many more people there than on our previous visits. We were concerned to note that there was enormous building being constructed not far from our hotel. Not sure what it is going to be but if it is yet another hotel the resort is going to be very busy indeed. Having said that none of these matters seriously detracted from an enjoyable holiday at what is a super hotel.

Had a lovely week here. Fantastic value for the price. Rooms were spotless, which is very important to us. Had a problem with the tv and it was fixed it really quickly. Patios were excellent with three sun beds, and table and chairs. Unfortunately no sun on ours due to the location in the circular complex, but quite private with the beautiful gardens around the patios. Great to have a free bus. Will certainly return if we have the opportunity.

We have stayed at this hotel previously and the staff remembered that and welcomed us accordingly. They were very helpful during our stay. The rooms and service are excellent. The facilities are great. We have recommended this hotel to friends and they are staying there this week!! We will return sometime this year.

Me and my wife have stayed on a number of occasions now, I think it was five times in 2015 and are already booked for a stay in April, with more in the planning stages. We have been holidaying in Playa Del Ingles for about 17 years now and have stayed at various hotels and complexes. Since we found cordial Biarritz, we have not considered anywhere else and will continue to stay there unless standards drop which i cannot see happening.

Having visited the Cordial Playa Mogan several times, we were expecting a similar standard. We were told that our Cordial discount card would apply, but were then asked to pay cash for all of our drinks, so no discount! We were told the hotel had been taken over by another group, but you are still asking fro feedback, so I'm a little confused!

Although we intend to go back to Cordial Playa Mogan, we wouldn't book through your company again. The telephone support staff we not helpful, and we were unclear of the travel arrangement until very close to our departure date.

We have been to the hotel many times and keep coming back because:

The whole experience is consistently superb.

The whole site, perhaps especially the gardens, is well looked after.

Port Mogan itself is still a beautiful place to spend time.

The walks, up to the banana farms and the Jewish house, and up as far as Mogan' are all very good for us.

Many staff, including senior management, now know us and we have a good welcome on arrival.

We do visit other hotels, but Cordial remains the best for us.

We also like the international flavour of the other guests, many of whom we have met before.

We love visiting Cordial Mogan Valle,we have stayed here at least three times and once in the adjacent hotel.

Nice big balconies that get the sun most of the day.

The decor is a little tired but everything else makes up for this.

I love this place for a quiet and peaceful getaway . The staff are all wonderful and we can just relax. Great value for money.

Stayed at cordial mogan Valle appts far superior & food. Would not recommend too far away from anything. Rooms nice & spacious everything else basic, weather not that good either. My daughter & I came home & went back to puerto mogan as we had not had a good holiday!! Needs better facilities & food.

Our third visit to this lovely hotel was another delightfully relaxing experience. The setting of the hotel within its lovely tropical gardens is almost perfect. Even at the busiest times of the day there are tranquil corners to be found.

The buffet restaurants are pleasant and efficient and there is plenty of choice. Whilst not always of the highest quality, the dishes are well presented and portions are generous. The wine list is somewhat restricted, but good value. The a la carte restaurant was disappointing in that the flavours of the beautifully presented dishes were bland and unadventurous. Service here, although initially attentive, seemed to tail off later in the evening leading to mistakes and a less than professional finish.

The buildings and fabric of the hotel are well maintained and are wearing well. However, the decor and style in the rooms is beginning to look somewhat dated and in need of a makeover.

All of the staff we met were friendly and helpful and, with a few exceptions, thoroughly professional.

The location of the hotel provides easy access to the town of Puerto de Mogan and there is plenty of choice for shopping, bars and restaurants. However, if its night clubs you are looking for this is not the right town.

Spent a week in winter sun. Not a cloud all week. lazed about. Staff were excellent. our junior suite clean comfortable. Entertainment was patchy. The star gazing unusual and educational. Food well presented and reasonable quality. Some of the meat was tasteless. We wondered if they had changed supplier? We also found the waiting staff habit of pressurising us to order drinks before we had chosen our food irritating. The village was beautiful with things to do. The market on Friday was a highlight.

My wife and myself have stayed at the hotel on one occasion, however we have stayed twice with our family and are booked to stay once again in May 2016. I have also advised 'elderly' friends of its excellence and at least have stayed there as well!! Our grandchildren (2 Boys) absolutely love the place and as long as I keep paying it looks like we will continue to visit!! The staff/facilities are 'superb' and never complained!! The food in main hall does vary on a nightly basis from 1 Excellent to 2 Very Good, but as its a 'bun fight' that is perfectly satisfactory.

2nd time at this hotel I absolutely love everything about it, from the friendliness to the food, no complaints on any level. I traveled this time with my sister and brother in law and they were as impressed as me.

We booked the cordial golf plaza as we had close family staying at a villa nearby. The rooms were massive - cleaned every day and the air on was superb. The pool area was really nice with a very clean pool and lots of activities for kids.
