Returned from a two week stay on 27th January 2012.The hotel was very good.We had a two Bedroom apartment, two bathrooms.Very Large and clean apartment. Cleaned 5 times a week and towels changed each time it was cleaned, bedding changed twice a week. all of the staff were very friendly. Stayed bed and breakfast, and the breakfasts were excellent,so much to choose from. Plenty of sunbeds by the pool. And of the two pools one was cold but the other nice. Must mention Rosario doing the daytime entertainment, what a lovely girl. We had great fun joining in all the games. All in all a great holiday. Thanks.

First impressions of the Cordial Golf Plaza are of a well appointed luxurious hotel. In the main this would be correct. The Reception area is beautiful and as you would expect from the Cordial group, the reception staff are friendly, well informed and helpful. We had a 1 bed apartment and it was very spacious and well appointed with air conditioning in both the lounge area (2nd sleeping room) and the main bedroom. The kitchen area was separate and well equipped. The room was cleaned daily with the bedding being changed once a week. As you would expect the room was spotless when we arrived and maintained to this level during our stay. The dining facilities are way below those you would expect in a 4* hotel While it can be argued that there was always something to eat, the choice was limited and the rotation on the menu seemed to be every 3-4 days. In the 7 days we were there, the main meat dish at dinner was (inedible) lamb chops twice. The meat tended to be overcooked and tough.... although the steak was very good and the chef did cook it to order when requested to do so. The remaining dishes for dinner were at best uninspiring and it cannot be said that dinner was a meal to look forward to. Breakfast was the usual buffet with hot and cold choices. This was usually quite good and we always enjoyed our breakfast, although the eggs again tended to be a little overcooked. The swimming pool is fairly small but there are plenty of sun loungers for the guests. The pool bar is again small but well staffed with friendly staff. The prices are reasonable and comparable to local bars. There is a small bar that is adjoining the hotel and accessible from reception. This is a charming place that serves snacks as well as hot and cold drinks and well worth a visit. The tapas are to be recommended and again, it is not overpriced. There is also a small supermarket adjoining the hotel and this seemed to be well stocked of the essentials. The prices may have been a little more that the larger supermarkets but by only by a few cents. Alongside the supermarket is a small Attraction Ticket and Car Hire office. The Car Hire would be useful to explore other parts of the island. We were also lucky enough to be given a complimentary visit to the hotel spa.....Wow now that is an experience not to be missed. The location of the hotel is in a quiet part of Tenerife and if you want ‘lively’ then don’t stay here, however if it is a quiet, relaxing holiday you want then this can be recommended. All in all would we stay there again? Definitely, however we may well only consider a bed and breakfast tariff and then eat out at the local bars and restaurants.

we have just returned from a week at the golf plaza (2 adults and 2 boys 9&12) and we had a great time. If you want a relaxing holiday it is the ideal place, but may be a little quiet if you want late bars and discos (Las Americas easy bus/taxi ride away). A taxi from airport 15 euro and 10 mins. Food great, plenty of choice , slightly european menu great fresh fish. No kids club, but animation team (rosario and tom) keep everyone busy with poolside games. Rooms are large and maid service every day. We don't mind planes you will not even notice them .A couple of nice commercial areas within easy walking distance where you can get reasonable food/drink. Be careful lots of places close around 11pm . Volare bar has good singers and entertainment till late and just 50 yards to the left as you leave the hotel there is an Irish bar that does good food and reasonable drink if you want a change of scenery . Mexican facing sea is terrible don't bother , chinese beside it has 7.50euro menu that is excellent. going back next year

We had a very clean and very spacious 1 bedroom apartment, with a well equipped kitchen. Overall we found the Hotel and Pool (though very cold) very clean, with an excellent maid service who every day managed to put our bed covers into a different shape/pattern (quite a nice touch I thought). Whilst we didnt use the restaurants (as self catering) we found all the staff helpfull. Having said that we did use the restaurant for breakfast one day, which at €15.00 for two persons we thought very expensive!! Still whilst there wasnt much in the way of restauarnts in the near vicinity there were plenty within 10, 15 & 20 minutes walking distance. We too spent quite a bit of our time in the Grandee Odonnells irish bar just up the road. We had a really relaxing stress free week which is what we were both after. Weather was disappointing for the first 2 days but after that very good. whilst it is very near the airport that didnt spoil our enjoyment of just lazing by the pool. Overall worth a revisit!!!

Food very samey, but still managed too eat plenty, supermarket next door, but one further up road cheaper(next to grandee odonnells irish bar) nice bar worth visit. Not much near by but 20min walk to San Blass shopping centre with bars/restuarants, I had chill week so only ate in hotel and went to Grandee ODonnells. Would def return for chillout week.Good value for money.Very near airport. Seems more residential area with alot apartments, few hotels scattered around area.

Nice, spacious apartments, beautifully clean around the whole hotel and rooms cleaned daily even on Sunday. Food is OK but could be better. Pool area nice, shame they dont enforce the no reserving sunbed rule or get more sunbeds as you had to get up 6am to get 5 sunbeds together, but this is probably not a problem outside of school holidays. There is a large underground car park, but the girl on reception told us we had to park on the street - no problem finding a space near by though. Would probably go back if there was a good offer but only on self catering or bed and breakfast

Second stay this year and nothing but impressed again. Very clean and staff are always friendly. Free use of pool towels so dont take any and save the weight/space in your suit case. Ideal location from the south airport 10 min away. Already recommended to family. Pool facilities could be better but me and my boys had great fun. Value for money is great. Self catered on both occassions, ate in the reasturant once and it was good. The local supermarkets 5 min away if you have a car but if you enjoy walking not a problem. Hire a car beforehand for 95 quid for the week. It will cost 18 to get a taxi one way. 8/10 in my book and Ive been all around the world.

Just returned from 10 days at the Golf Plaza Tenerife, we had an amazing time, fantastic food, staff very polite and helpful, the apartment was the biggest we have ever stayed in. We met some great people, even my 13 year old had a group of around 6 friends. The hotel is in a quiet location which suited us no end, outside of the hotel there are a few restaurants which are very good and a short distants in San Blass is a fantastic Indian called the Taj, we will be back.

Very impressed with this hotel. The rooms are very spacious and well equiped. We had half board plus and this was excellent. Fantastic choice of breakfast and evening meal was very good especially the griddle. Dessert choice could have been improved. The pool area was very clean. Having the mini supermarket on site was very good for buying snacks, drinks and fresh baked bread and pastries. We used the bus stop outside to go to El Medano and La tejita beach (recommended) You can also catch the bus to Los Cristanos and Siam Park. Tickets for Siam Park can be booked at the hotel. Evening entertainment is provided for children and adults but I dont endorse entertainment that features animals and birds. The childrens entertainer worked very hard. All of the staff from the cleaners to the waiting staff to the receptionists worked very hard and were very friendly. The hotel is on the flight path but we actually enjoyed seeing the planes come in and noise was not really an issue and for us the sort transfer time from the airport was a bonus. The market at Los Abrigos was rubbish. We would deffinately go back or try another Cordial resort hotel.

We really enjoyed and on our first day the head chef catered for us as we were vegetarian and everyday he use to make us some vegetarian meal. So all you vegetarian people dont worry, The best chutney you can have was garlic chutney we use to eat everyday with our meal so didnt miss Indian food that much. The only problem we had was the internet we paid for the whole week and it was slow so my daughter could not do her work as she took time off from uni to come on a holiday with us. Overall a good holiday and must say the chef called Angle did look after us.

Have just came back from a week stay here, we had the last week of August and had a great time. We were upgraded to a apartment and was so impressed with this. We stayed for half board the food was ok,but we didnt starve. Not to much to do in the area of Golf de Sur,if you just want peace than this is for you.the buses were so cheap,so if you did want to explore the island then do this. The weather was too hot for us really in the mid 30s all week but as this place is on the south side of island then you would expect this in August. Would def send friends here as the price were very cheap, infact the flights cost more then the weeks holiday,Love to go again!!

We had a great week staying at Cordial Golf Plaza early August. The apartment was very spacious and kept very clean throughout our 7 day stay. Food was quite good and very good value as we stayed on Half Board option. Good weather and days spent by the pool reading made for a very relaxing break. Special mention to the wonderful little bar which served good Tapas and had a happy hour every evening making already cheap drinks even cheaper and always served with a smile from very friendly bar staff. The only complaint being we regret not booking for a fortnight instead of just 1 week.

Just come back from a great weeks holiday at the Golf Plaza on a half board basis. The hotel was a high standard, 4* standard, geat pool, good variety of food, including choices of meat and fish, (great steaks on 2 nights). But food could have a bit better on a couple of nights. Entertainment was pretty dire unless you have kids 10yrs or below who like disco dancing. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The rooms were amazing, more like a suite, with large lounge, kitchen and bathroom and huge bedroom. Would have preferred a double bed rather than the two twin beds. Golf courses close to hotel, both very frendly. Only 5mins away. Checkout the public bus services. very cheap and clean. Hotel could do with having an information brochure on how to get around the area.Los Christianos only 15mins away on the bus. Stop is 50 mtrs down the road. About €1.50. Not bad for 15Km ride!

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would recommend it. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The head of our bathroom tap sheared off, and it was repaired within half an hour of informing reception. Rooms were well cleaned every day. We were on a great half board deal which meant even our three permanently hungry teenage kids were satisfied. We didnt like the practice of people placing towels on sun loungers and not using them. This meant that most of them werent used most of the time. Have to say that the Brits seemed to be most guilty of this, sneaking out at 8 or 9am in the morning to put their towels out. Not the hotels fault of course!

I spent a week here in July/August with two teenage daughters and my Mum. We all thoroughly enjoyed the holiday - the hotel was clean, fresh and had a lovely pool. The staff were very friendly and efficient.Perfect temperature every day. We spent two days away from the hotel, taking the bus to Siam Park ( largest waterpark in Europe, and really good fun - just get there early!) and to Los Cristianos for great fake designer shopping ( quite unbelievable, we wouldnt get away with it in UK!) and a lovely sandy beach at Playa de las Vistas, sand imported from the Sahara apparently. Bus leaves from right outside the Hotel, and is really cheap.Food at the Hotel is good value, and local produce - generally very good, occasionally excellent. Don't go if youre an English fish and chips fan! Overall, recommended, and I would definitely return.

Had a fab trip to Cordial Golf Plaza, was travelling with 3 friends on a lads Golf trip, hotel was ideally located for Golf Del Sur and Amarillo Golf less than 5 mins taxi ride. Golf Plaza provided us with excellent value for money, especially the inclusive meal plan (half board). We were also lucky enough to get the free daily spa circuit voucher promotion, so could go and chill out after a hard day on the nearby golf courses! Be aware that those in search of nightlife etc will need to take a short cab ride to the nearby resort (5 mins) or a longer cab ride to the nightspots of Playa! (20 mins) Great value for money and would definately go back.

The Hotel was lovely and all staff very polite. The room was amazing and very spacious and was cleaned every day. The food was good, there was enough choice but occasionally the food was luke warm, fortunately there was a microwave to heat it up a little. The one downside was the pools were literally freezing and in April I was unable to swim with my children. Kids club rep was very good, there needs to be more evening entertainment rather than just animal shows. 2 members of staff that stuck out for us was the guy that always run the poolside bar, worked very hard and always smiled. An English girl who was in the restaurant and sometimes in the bar in the evening. I hope you find this helpful and constructive. Kind Rgds Carole.

The hospitality in the restaurant was kind and helpful especially with our twins. The rooms were so well cleaned everyday and the kitchenette was lovely and clean. The apartments are spacious and the bathroom was so big clean and lovely. the location is in a quiet road wth not much happening, ideal for a relaxing holiday. I thouroughly enjoyed my stay at the hotel and the resort. Although quiet, it is ideal if you want to totally relax and enjoy the sun, without the hustle and bustle. There is plenty of variety at breakfast time and in the evening, we went for our meals at the several restaurants that are within walking distance. The rooms are lovely and very spacious. The staff very polite and friendly. I would certainly return to this resort as it is great value for money.
