This is just to let you know we are now safely back home in the UK having missed all the snow while we were away.
The holiday went precisely as planned with absolutely no hitches or problems – flights and transfers were all on time and the Hotel was precisely as you described in all respects. From what we heard, Mogan Playa also seemed to get by far the best of the island’s weather last week – another major plus point.
Thank you for everything you did to ensure this outcome and for all the useful advice you gave me when we were first planning to go to Gran Canaria.
I cannot quite remember how we came to decide on easyJet from LGW (not my favourite airport) but I gather Thompsons fly to Las Palmas from Bournemouth which might in future give us another option as we use BOH quite often for our summer trips to Spain and much prefer it. Whether I would have liked the drive home in the dark last night is quite another matter!
So, thanks again for everything you did for us and for your friendly efficiency.
Kindest regards,
Geoff Whitehead

Visited this Hotel on four occasions, that should say enough. We have never been dissapointed and have recommended it to several other people who have visited and been delighted with the hotel, service, food and staff.
Keep up the good work and lets hope that the rate of exchange improves so we can visit again.

A fantastic hotel. The staff were really helpful and friendly from the moment we arrived. This continued throughout our stay. A lovely room overlooking the pool. The only downside a palm tree right in the way. The pool and all public areas were spotless and the food excellent. The only slight downside was that some parents allowed their children to run around in the entertainment lounge whilst the shows were on. possible some guidelines to parents would help.

We had been to Gran Canaria before but not staying in Puerto Mogan. Our visit to the Mogan Playa hotel was absolutely fantastic. Lovely surrondings, warm spacious swimmimg pools, good food and attentive staff. My wife and I were struck down with a tummy bug for the first 3 days of the holiday and for those days we did not fancy much food but the hotel sent along water and toast to the junior suite we were staying in. I should hasten to add that the bug was not brought on by anything we ate at the hotel - it had been going round the family before we went on our holiday and we were unfortunate it hit us at just the wrong moment. This visit was in celebration of our golden wedding anniversary and it was a wonderful choice for such an event. We went in mid September when it was a little quiet in the hotel and in the surronding resort of Mogan where only some of the bars, restaurants were open. A couple of months later would no doubt see the place spring into life but some people might prefer the quiet period. Looking forward to a return visit in the near future.

Our second visit in almost two years was just as successful as the first. The hotel is comfortable, clean, well run, and service impeccable. Our two grandsons weren't able to find youngsters of their own age, but at 18 and 16 were perfectly content to eat, swim and read. Tennis courts were a bonus for the 16 year old and his Dad to continue their ongoing battle for supremacy?
We will certainly keep in mind the possibility of coming again.

Hate being referred to as a mature couple, so we will call ourselves a family but without the children with us!
We knew straight away that the hotel would be good because even on the first day it was obvious that the managers were both visible around the hotel and very willing to talk to you about anything.
The hotel was fabulous. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff. We stayed bed and breakfast so can only comment on the breakfast. I dont actually know what else they could possibly have put on the breakfast buffet,it was massive and really good.
The two pools were excellent, always sunbeds available and the lush surroundings are a real bonus.
If you want a relaxing holiday in great surroundings then this is certainly one of the places I would return to.

Having seen all the rave reviews of the Cordial Mogan Playa we were intrigued to see if it really was as good as all the reviews said they were. Well, I can honestly say that it not only met our expectations, but exceeded them! From start to finish this was one of the best holidays we have ever had! Staying on a half board basis, the quality and choice of food available really was exceptional. Especially bearing in mind the number of guests they have to cater for, the food is of the very highest quality, is extremely delicious and cooked to perfection! All the staff are so friendly and nothing was too much trouble. The animation team were very encouraging without being intrusive and my daughter and I regularly took part in the water activities. They were a lot of fun and was an easy way to while away an hour. We normally do a lot of exploring on our holidays, but were so enraptured with the resort, that the furthest we walked to was the Port - a mere 10 minute walk away! This was a complete relaxation holiday and the first resort we have visited that we will be definitely returning to!

We requested and receieved the same Junior suite as our previous stay as it has a small private garden for our 3 year old to play in. Every good thing you read about this hotel is true, great location, helpful staff, and a fantastic feel to the place. A must also be said word about the excellent customer service that you get from the staff at Cordial Resort Holidays (thank you Sarah).

Weve just returned from our third stay at the hotel and the standards are still exceptionally high. From the moment you arrive the hotel staff provide a wonderful, helpful service. Each year we expect the standards to slip, but that never seems to happen - if anything the hotel is going from strength to strength. Weve tried to find faults, but to be honest any minor complaint would be nit-picking for the sake of it. The hotels a perfect getaway for couples, while the aadjoining apartments are great for young families. Weve used both and the standards are exacting at both. The entire complex is a credit to the management and staff at Cordial.

First class hotel!! One of the best hotels we have stayed in. It was great for our son as there was free bowling, squash and table tennis which kept him out of the midday sun. The animation team were great - very discreet but lovely and friendly. Food was very good as well as the entertainment. Swimming pools, views, rooms and reception areas were great but the best bit was the friendliness of the staff - never have we experienced such people where nothing is too much trouble. We first arrived at the hotel after its first opening, we have visited every year whenever possible since then. Staff and management are the best.I think the last count was 7 times. Just love everything about the hotel, although one downside, we like to eat between 7 and 7 30 and spend a couple of hours over dinner, this is not possible due to two sittings, however can be easily overcome by eating at the speciality restaurant which is amazing.
We shall be returning next year. Perhaps I should add we normally never return to the same place , however this hotel is so special. Huge thank you to you all.

We recently spent a week with our daughter and baby grandson at the Cordial Mogan Playa. It is an excellent hotel for a family holiday, and the temperate climate in the Canary Islands makes Gran Canaria a great choice for some winter sunshine. The heated pools are a bonus if travelling in March or over the winter.
Check in at the hotel was very efficient and friendly and the welcoming glass of cava we were given was a lovely start to the holiday. We stayed in a suite; the room was spacious and well appointed with fluffy bathrobes and a nice selection of toiletries. There was a fridge in the room which was great to keep stocked with some water and cool drinks - there was a supermarket just across the road from the hotel.
There is a separate breakfast area for guests staying in the suites and the selection of food was very nice. We were able to eat outside which we enjoyed very much. Evening meals (we were on half board) were taken in the main restaurant and we chose the early 630pm setting which was perfect for us as we had a young child with us. The evening buffet dinner was impressive - a really good selection of salads, local dishes, fresh fish cooked to order, steaks and too many other items to mention. Desserts were good too, including on some evenings a chocolate fountain which we found hard to resist! A nice touch was that it was possible to swap evening dinner for lunch which we did on a couple of occasions and we enjoyed a buffet lunch by the pool and dinner in one of the many restaurants in Puerto Mogan in the evening.
Although we stayed in a suite we visited one of the rooms overlooking the pool during our stay as we had a friend staying in the hotel and it was spacious and comfortable with a lovely view.
The hotel is set in extensive grounds which really must be explored - the gardens are beautiful, in particular the area around the suites which is reminiscent of a botanic garden.
A highlight for us was the spa - for €10 you can spend a couple of hours using the spa pool which included massage beds and jets, the jacuzzi, sauna and steam room. There is an outside area to relax in the sun between dips in the pool. When we visited we had the spa to ourselves and it was a lovely way to spend the morning; our only regret was that we didnt do it earlier in the holiday as we didnt have time to fit in another visit.
Puerto Mogan is a very picturesque resort. There is a horseshoe shaped sandy beach which is very sheltered and ideal for families, an attractive marina and interesting fishing harbour. There are lots of nice cafes and bars to sit in and people watch. We enjoyed a very nice meal one evening at a fish restaurant overlooking the harbour.
On Fridays there is an excellent market and we also enjoyed a boat trip to Puerto Rico.
We will definitely return to the Mogan Playa - its hard to think of a better place for a family holiday.

They were so very kind and did everything they could to help us. They eventually located our key in a restaurant we had visited earlier and we managed to arrive at the airport in time to catch our flight which was a huge relief.

I’m emailing to say what a simply splendid holiday we all enjoyed at Puerto Mogan. The journey was perfect going and coming, planes on time, taxis there to meet us and bring us back - on time and the hotel was perfect in every way. I can honestly say its the best holiday any of us have spent, and weve done a few over the years. Wonderful surroundings, wonderful food, wonderful service and wonderful weather!!! We just cant fault it - so much attention to detail and everything aimed at making the guests stay special. This was truly outstanding, many people we met return year after year because everything is so perfect. Its like staying in a tropical garden surrounded by mountains and not 1 swimming pool, but two!!! Where else have you ever heard of having a greeting letter in your room from the manager wishing you a great holiday and to let him know if anything, even the mattress is not to your liking and they will change it!!! Then given directions to his office, his office telephone and even his mobile for any queries. They really do want people to be happy and all look happy to serve. The staff work so hard and are always cheerful - quite amazing. The rooms we were allocated were very central to everything, whether that was just luck or your organization I dont know, but we are certainly pleased with your services and would have no hesitation in booking with you again, and I am serious about wanting to return sometime.

The hotel gardens are extremely well kept and are stunning, its worth the hotels "get to know the plants" tour, the staff are well informed and genuinely interested in your questions, and always have the answers! The staff cant do enough to make your stay enjoyable and everything you want. There is nothing about this place that I can critcise, and wouldnt want to either! This hotel is stunning, built in a steep valley with fantstic mountains as a backdrop. We went as a couple last February and wanted some peace and quiet with sunshine thrown in. This is exactly what we got. The resort is very quiet and typically Canarian in design and character. No commercially themed pubs and great restaurants down by the harbour. There is a sandy beach, but no being beach lovers we didnt use it but it was very popular all the same. Friday is market day but the stalls are very much the same selling leather goods, belts, jewellery, beachware, sunglasses and hair braiding.
The hotel amenities are fine and we never had a problem getting a sunbed, but beware during the weekends the hotel is popular with the Spanish and can be a bit busy. The food was good with a good selection. There was nothing during our two week stay that we didnt enjoy. Wines can be a bit expensive though, I think the cheapest was around 11 euro.
There is entertainment every night but we much preferred the atmosphere in the town for after dinner walks and drinks.
We hired a car for three days and the island is very much worth seeing especially the drives in the mountains which was very interesting to say the least with lots of small villages worth exploring. Another benfit of the hotel is that it has its own private parking with plenty of spaces. We had an Opel Corsa and used 20 euro of petrol for the whole 3 days.
So if youre looking for a quiet break in a quality hotel go dont hesitate to stay here. We will be back for sure.

When we mentioned to fellow travellers on the flight out of Birmingham where we were to stay they all said that Puerto Mogan is the best area on the island and they had heard of the hotel too.
What a great place it is too, champagne at check in and a lovely room with a view of the pool and sea. The food is tremendous and so are the staff. The grounds are very fragrant from the trees and shrubs. The pool areas are great for sunbathing but the beach is only a 10 minute walk away.
Booked for September but this time for 2 weeks. cant wait. No wonder its number one on the list that people write about their holidays on.
